Lame, really lame.

That said, her model is TOTALLY a breeder model. Some of us who are bi or hetero are not breeders. It is not my goal in life to get married and raise a family. And for many LGBT people, having a family, not to mention marriage, has never even been an option.

At nearly 44, I am still unmarried, although I am happily committed. But I was never the guy she is talking about. I haven't played a video game in 30+ years, and I never feared commitment.

When authors try to stereotype men, and when they rely on a gender binary and sexual preference binary to do so, they are doomed to failure.

I'll probably read her book mostly so that I can refute her narrow vision whenever possible.

By the way, Sage, thanks for the mentions on your blog - much appreciated.william harrymanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06981478282688361274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372876601826078687.post-23570093824996643372011-03-01T12:20:05.282-07:002011-03-01T12:20:05.282-07:00Oh yeah, I don't like the title of the book. I find this current pop culture slang phrase, "Man Up" to be by newest, least liked phrase of all time...until the next one arrives on the sceneSagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13196755961428537223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372876601826078687.post-71956168946470978592011-03-01T08:45:46.875-07:002011-03-01T08:45:46.875-07:00OK, I had to do a deep Breathe In, Breathe Out &qu...OK, I had to do a deep Breathe In, Breathe Out "before" I could listen to this, because I suspected it would be challenging for me and I wanted to be as open minded as possible. I knew I was going to be presented with alot of statistics. I have a background in clinical psychology and was a researcher at major social science research university.
