We may have differing opinions but I am sure everyone will agree that accountability for such is imperative.Drakehttp://www.sexual-addiction-recovery.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372876601826078687.post-88188883069153147632011-09-04T18:50:14.432-07:002011-09-04T18:50:14.432-07:00This is very important information William, thank ...This is very important information William, thank you for sharing. The cycle of addiction is a difficult thing to recognise and those affected suffer in ways that are impossible to imagine. The co-addicted partners also find themselves in an extremely difficult situation, and the solutions are not easily come to at all.

Applied to any type of addiction this posting points to the insight development needed for understanding and acknowledgement to arise. Addressing such material is not often enough encouraged and supported - and those who need the help the most are often vilified by uneducated critics rather than directed to effective remediation.

Thank you for your research and commitment to the psychological well being of the community.GDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13059305936057291672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372876601826078687.post-40325114806328105102011-09-04T13:50:24.696-07:002011-09-04T13:50:24.696-07:00If you have been reading my blogs for any length o...If you have been reading my blogs for any length of time, you will know that I have been the ONLY voice in the integral world demanding that those you refer to not be allowed to teach - ever.

That has not changed and will not change.

My perspective is that no one really GETS, aside from the victims, how truly messed up these men are. A little education can go a long way toward demonstrating that this is not something that gets "fixed" in a couple of sessions with an amateur - you need years of work with someone educated in how to deal with sex addicts.

These people can be some of the slickest and most narcissistic offenders around - many are very bright. They can often talk and manipulate their way out of trouble, as has happened in the integral world.william harrymanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06981478282688361274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372876601826078687.post-54180215532786717842011-09-04T13:42:59.024-07:002011-09-04T13:42:59.024-07:00I hope all of this is not a preface for "comp...I hope all of this is not a preface for "compassionate" defense of the absurd, ongoing parade of sex scandals among Wilber's approved gurus.

A diagnosis of addiction, or an attitude of compassion, doesn't change the fact that they should be held accountable for their actions. In particular, they shouldn't be permitted to teach, especially with LGAT techniques that compromise the students' capacity for maintaining boundaries and critical thought.

If you permit unreconstructed sex addicts to escape legal accountability for their actions, cover up their history, and then rake in money for teaching others about the "sexual shadow," your institution will get the exactly the reputation it deserves.Marknoreply@blogger.com
