How funny that Cosmo picked a skinny, make-wearing, metrosexual as their fun and fearless male for 2010. But then, Katy Perry thinks he's sexy, so there must be some manliness behind the intellect and humor. Besides, you have to love a comedian who can riff on Michel Foucault and The Great Gatsby in the same routine. Some 2008 era video below.

The 35-year-old British comedian topped the list of male celebrities, which included Australian actor Simon Baker, R&B singer Drake and actors Stephen Dorff and Neil Patrick Harris. But the Essex newlywed impressed Cosmopolitan, which dubbed him “2011’s Sexiest Bad Boy” and confessed to being “obsessed with him".

Asked what was the most fearless move he has ever made, the Get Him to the Greek star gushed that marrying Katy Perry topped everything.

“I have to say getting married,” Brand said. "It’s pretty wild that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with Katy.”
